Associate Chief Nursing Officer
REQUIREMENTS
Required Education:
Professional degree in nursing
Master’s Level Degree
Preferred Education:
Doctorate in Nursing/Health related field
Required License/Certification:
Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN)
Preferred License/Certification:
Certification in oncology, specialty practice area, quality or administration.
Required Experience:
Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of increasingly responsible management and leadership experience in a multispecialty healthcare environment including inpatient responsibility.
Management experience must reflect expansion of role scope and complexity over time.
Must include demonstrated leadership experience in the leadership of key professional development initiatives. Extensive knowledge of principles and practices essential to nursing and patient care activities. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Management/leadership experience in an academic healthcare setting reflecting increasing responsibility for financial and clinical operational oversight in highly complex organizations.
Oncology experience.
Leadership experience in a healthcare organization with a Magnet recognition program.
