The Associate Software Integration Architect is responsible for day to day administration, performance, and stability of the Epic, Web API and other critical internal systems managed by the EDI Architecture Team. 

** Must obtain Epic certification issued by Epic within 180 days of date of entry into job.**

Software Development  
The Associate Integration Architect demonstrates high expertise in software development using a combination of Microsoft, the web, Epic, and database development. It consists of an appropriate combination of software development languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3), frameworks (.NET MVC, Razor, AngularJS, Angular2, RxJS) and (SQL, Mongo, and other) database development.
Independently leads the execution of the project throughout all SDLC phases while demonstrating and applying appropriate methodology given the nature of the project and available resources. Demonstrates leadership skills by engaging and leading software developers. The associate architect possesses project management and software engineering skills necessary to deliver advanced software solutions through teamwork and collaboration. 
Demonstrates understanding both the clinical and business workflows necessary to deliver appropriate solutions to clinical and business problems. Strives to achieve strategic outcomes for the implementation of various system solutions and integrations. 

Architecture and Design  
Associate Software Integration Architect participates in the design of high complexity system integrations and software solutions, ensuring that performance, scalability, flexibility, reusability, and security of the system meet technical, legal (HIPAA), and the business expectations. 
The associate architect will specify and evaluates software architectures and apply appropriate architectural styles in software development while making sure that architectural decisions align with business objectives. A software architect demonstrates robust design, methodology, domain, and technology expertise.

Support of Systems   
The Associate Software Integration Architect defines and/or provides operational support and administration of the Epic, Web API, and other critical internal systems managed by the EDI Architecture Team. 
The associate architect develops, prescribes, and follows the best documentation practices to ensure business continuity through proper management of knowledge assets. 
Standards   
Assists the Software Integration Architect in defining, implementing, and promoting technical standards, including software coding standards, selection of development tools, and DevOps platforms to advance the capacity of EDI and the institution to deliver high-quality system integrations and solutions.

Other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor's degree.

Certification: Must obtain Epic certification issued by Epic within 180 days of date of entry into job.

Preferred Certification:  Epic

Experience: 
Five years of experience in software development and design to include one year of team lead/supervisory experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred Experience: 

•Experience in an academic healthcare setting.
•Experience at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
•Experience with advanced productivity software (Project management, Knowledge management, DevOps)

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
