SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Financial Analyst is to monitor daily banking activities and provide support to the Treasury Manager. Position will be responsible in transacting and/or oversight of payment requests as instructed by the Accounts Payable, Patient Business Services and other departments in addition to reviewing, processing and approving foreign and domestic payments. The position will manage the prepaid card system and relationship with the vendor. This position will also manage all credit card terminals and MIDs for the institution. This position will provide an additional layer of review for all vendor changes requested in PeopleSoft. This position works closely with the Treasury Manager, credit card terminal users, Accounts Payable, Information Services, General Accounting, Grants and Contracts, Patient Business Services and internal/external auditors.



Key Functions


Banking Operations

  

  • Disbursements - Review and execute outgoing transactions via JP Morgan Chase and The University of Texas Investment Management Corporation (UTIMCO). 
  •   
    Review the monthly bank account analysis statement for accuracy.

Prepaid Card Management


  •  Be the system administrator for the institution’s prepaid card system.
  • Review funding requests and execute the transfers from bank to the funding accounts.
  • Work with HR to administer the We Care payments through the prepaid cards
  • Troubleshoot cardholder and user issues within the system
  • Complete monthly recons and share with the associated departments.
  • Activate and load prepaid cards with employee information for Payroll.

   
Credit Cards  

 

  •  Manage relationships with credit card processors and terminal providers.
  • Manage credit card terminal issues for the institution.
  • Manage credit card terminal inventory.
  • Be up to date on all PCI and PII Credit Card Regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Establish new MIDs for all new locations and deactivate any unused MIDs. 
  • Review chargeback activity and assist with high dollar chargeback requests
  • Manage temporary credit card terminal usage and work with Accounting to ensure proper posting of funds collected.
  • Work with Information Services and the credit card processor to ensure POS has the necessary requirements to process credit cards.


Accounting Entries


  • Responsible for Credit Card ZBA entry preparation.
  • Other entries as assigned.

  

Key Performance Indicators

          

  •   Publish key Treasury KPI’s
  • Analyze key Treasury KPI’s           

  

PeopleSoft


  • Review, validate and approve all vendor maintenance change requests including but not limited to banking instructions, remittance email address, contact information, etc.
  • Review manual wire queue in PeopleSoft and ensure wires are processed timely and accurately.


Other


  • Support the Treasury Manager and attend meetings in their absence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Experience           

Required: Two years business experience to include project management, data analysis or accounting

Preferred: Three years’ in a banking and treasury operations role within a government, healthcare or corporate environment.

 

Education      

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related specialty

 

License/Certification Required: No license requirement     

Preferred:  Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
