Education: Bachelor's
degree in a health related field.
Preferred Education:
Master’s Level Degree
Certification: One
of the following:
Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN).
Medical Technologist (MT) or Microbiologist (M) by the American Society of
Clinical Pathologist Board of Registry (BOR).
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by the American Society of Clinical
Pathologist Board of Registry (BOR).
Certified in Infection Control (CIC) by the Certification Board of Infection
Control.
Preferred
Certification: One of the following:
Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN)
Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists
(ASCP)
Microbiologist (M) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) with National Certifying Agency (NCA)
Experience: Three
years patient care experience. With
preferred degree, one year of required experience.
Preferred Experience: Three years clinical experience as a registered
nurse; or three years clinical microbiology laboratory experience. Additional
experience should include Infection Control surveillance; and experience in
using various computer-based software.
Onsite Presence: Is

Bachelor's degree in a health related field. Education Preferred: Master's degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Nursing or Epidemiology. Three years patient care experience. With preferred degree, one year of required experience. One of the following: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Medical Technologist (MT) or Microbiologist (M) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist Board of Certification (BOC). Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist Board of Certification (BOC). Certified in Infection Control (CIC) by the Certification Board of Infection Control.
