Leadership Practitioner - Assessment Focus opportunity in Leadership Institute


Ideal candidate must have a Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field. With a Bachelor's degree may substitute the Master's degree with two additional years of demonstrated MD Anderson experience in a role where training or coaching was the primary job function. 

Four years in related field, developing and delivering educational training programs and coaching all levels of employees.  Prefer seven years of professional experience related to directing complex projects experience.

 


SUMMARY


The Leadership Practitioner works with a team of leadership development professionals to apply principles of I-O psychology to provide expertise to the institution and its leaders to assist them in maximizing their own development and that of the teams they lead.

 

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Assessments Designs and validates assessments for selection and development purposes, with focus on leadership populations. Assessments could include, but on not limited, to personality assessments, 360 assessments, talent reviews, assessments centers, situational judgment tests.

 

Feedback and Personalized Development Plans Provides feedback to institutional executive and faculty leaders and their teams focused on improving individual performance, work unit performance, manager-employee relationships, and human resources management practices leveraging assessment tools to design personalized development plans.

 

Succession Planning Facilitates executive and faculty leaders through the talent review and succession planning processes to include working with the technology-based tools and systems to assist leaders in creating the talent pipelines for the organization.

 

Facilitation and Training   Facilitates programs that are assessment-based, such as leveraging simulation centers to practice different skills and approaches based on assessment feedback.

Required Education: Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field. With a Bachelor's degree may substitute the Master's degree with two additional years of demonstrated MD Anderson experience in a role where training or coaching was the primary job function. 

Preferred Education: Doctorate (Academic)

 

Required Certification: None
Preferred Certification: Licensed Psychologist in state of Texas and Certified Executive Coach

 

Required Experience: Four years in related field, developing and delivering educational training programs and coaching all levels of employees

Preferred Experience: Seven years of professional experience related to directing complex projects experience.
