Senior Inpatient Clinical Coding Specialist
Education
Required: Associates Degree in Health Information Management or any Healthcare related field
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management or any Healthcare related field
Experience
Required: Five years inpatient/outpatient coding or three years of coding with HIM bachelor’s degree. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Five years of inpatient coding experience specializing in oncology
License/Certification - At Least One of the Following:
Required: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
Certified Professional Coder (CPC-H)
Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
