Advanced Practice Provider - General Internal Medicine
EDUCATION:
Required:
Master’s Degree in Nursing. May be waived for applicants who obtained recognition as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from the Texas State Board of Nursing prior to 1/1/2003. Degree requirements as defined by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners or (TSBPAE) or Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners (TSBNE), as required for clinical licensure as an Acute Care Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: None
Preferred: Two years of clinical experience as an acute care advanced practice provider.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Required: Must have current license and/or certification as defined by the TSBPAE or TSBNE as required for clinical licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant. Must obtain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 3 months into the job.
Preferred: Clinical licensure as an Acute Care Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or
Physician Assistant (PA)
