MD Anderson Cancer Center is growing! We’re looking for a compassionate and driven Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to join our Radiation Oncology team, caring for patients undergoing treatment for genitourinary malignancies. You’ll support patients undergoing radiation therapy in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Ideal Candidate:
- At least 1 year of APP inpatient experience or 2 years outpatient clinical experience
- Oncology or Urology experience is a plus
- High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a strong team spirit
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage care coordination for patients undergoing radiation therapy
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and radiation therapists
- Monitor and manage side effects of radiation therapy
- Educate patients and families, and contribute to quality care initiatives
- Document care thoroughly and maintain compliance with policies

REQUIRED: Degree requirements as defined by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) or Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners (TSBPAE) as required for clinical licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.
REQUIRED: Written authorization from the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) or Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners (TSBPAE) to function as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant. Related authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. MAY BE REQUIRED: Eligible to be granted limited prescriptive authority by the State of Texas.
PREFERRED: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required by patient care area.
This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening.
