We are seeking a skilled and experienced AI Governance Analyst to manage and optimize our organization's inventory of AI solutions. The ideal candidate will specialize in creating and maintaining comprehensive AI model documentation, including model cards and related governance, risk, compliance (GRC), legal, and technical documents. The role requires close collaboration with AI governance teams, cybersecurity professionals, legal and compliance experts, risk management personnel, AI solution architects, business stakeholders, and vendors. The will also involve defining, tracking, and reporting on performance metrics related to AI workflows, safety, compliance, effectiveness, impact, and ROI. Proficiency in governance tools along with experience in developing automation is critical for efficiently scaling governance processes.

To uphold these principles, we are expanding our AI governance team, which will be dedicated to overseeing the responsible adoption of AI across the institution.

Key responsibilities include:
Manage and maintain a comprehensive inventory of AI initiatives.
Develop, document, and update the institution AI inventory using AI model cards, vendor contracts, GRC, legal, and other documentation.
Collaborate with stakeholders across AI governance, cybersecurity, legal, compliance, risk management, solution architects, and business SMEs, and AI solution vendors to collect, collate, and validate AI inventory cards.
Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including AI safety, compliance, ROI, and operational impact.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with AI governance standards and best practices.
Generate detailed governance reports and insights for stakeholders.
Leverage governance automation tools (e.g., ModelOp) to streamline governance processes.

Technical Expertise  
Proficiency with AI governance tools and frameworks, such as ModelOp or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of AI algorithms and their applications in healthcare.
Experience in understanding algorithms properties and model cards.
Familiar with governance, risk, compliance (GRC), and regulatory requirements related to AI systems.
Experience in software development, scripting for automation, and/or business process mapping.

Analytical Skills  
Strong analytical skills to assess technology for impact, technical feasibility, operational requirements, compliance and ethical considerations. 
Ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines and translate them into actionable policies.
Proficiency in value propositions, risk assessment and management related to advanced healthcare technologies.
Preferably experience with healthcare AI solutions.

Professionalism: Oral and Written   
Excellent communication skills to articulate governance policies and procedures clearly to stakeholders.
Ability to produce comprehensive reports and documentation related to AI governance activities.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Other duties as assigned

Education Required: 
Bachelor's degree in related field.

Preferred Education: Master’s Level Degree

Experience Required:
Eight years of experience working with structured databases, programming, system analysis or related field to include two years as a project/program lead.

Preferred Experience: 
Experience as an AI systems analyst, AI cataloging

Experience maintaining an inventory of technology  assets
Experience with healthcare technology
