Anesthesiology Inventory Tech - Anesthesia Services
Anesthesiology Inventory Tech opportunity in the Anesthesia Services department. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience as an inventory supply tech in a hospital setting. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
Anesthesia Supplies
*Receives supplies from the procurement team and stocks the anesthesia carts/supply rooms following the approved inventory checklist
* Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the anesthesia workrooms daily
* Deliver supplies to anesthesia staff as needed
* Check supplies for expiration dates
* Inventories and sends order to divisional procurement coordinator daily
Anesthesia Equipment
*Conducts general disinfecting, cleaning, and handling of anesthesia equipment and instruments according to manufacture or policy recommendations
* Performs daily checks of all anesthetizing TMC location to ensure appropriate equipment is available
*Tracks and maintains anesthesia equipment, specialty carts, and inventory
* Retrieves, prepares and appropriately distributes equipment as directed
* Reports equipment in need of repair to anesthesia supervisor or educational coordinator
*Follows standard work processes and procedures
*Participates in continuing education and quality assurance/Joint Commission activities for department as directed.
Customer Service
*Effectively communicates with Anesthesia clinical staff regarding supplies and equipment needed for daily cases.
*Partners with division Procurement Specialist and Inventory Tech to provide excellent customer service to Anesthesia team.
EDUCATION
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: None
EXPERIENCE
Required: None.
Preferred: Two years of experience as an inventory supply tech in a hospital setting.
