The primary purpose of the Assistant Director position is to assist the department with Prospect Management, focusing on managing, tracking and reporting on activities with its constituent and prospect pools, and making recommendations to positively influence fundraising activity. 



  1. Provides ongoing Prospect Management, which includes facilitating the prospect assignment process to ensure balanced and viable portfolios, as well as portfolios that are in-line with the established policies and procedures. – 30%
  1. Conducts multi-year goal setting and portfolio reviews with gift officers to ensure strong portfolios and facilitate the movement of prospects through the solicitation cycle. 30%           
  1. Provides management with tools, such as reporting and analysis, in order to assist them in making data-driven decisions.  Assists with the creation and ongoing development of these tools.  10%
  1. Works closely with gift officers to ensure that portfolios are well resourced with appropriate leads from prospect pools. Also collaborates with Prospect Research on the management and assignment of these prospect pools.  20%
  1. Collaborates with Systems and Reporting to continue to enhance the capability to track and report on prospect and portfolio activity in order to inform strategy. 10%
  1. Other duties as assigned.


Required: Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or related field.



Required: Two years of experience in development operations, fundraising, marketing, advertising, public relations or patient advocacy' May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred: Experience with a major fundraising campaign, prospect management. Also, working in a Prospect Management System, Excel or any other data visualization tools or programs? (i.e. Microsoft Teams, Power BI, SharePoint, etc.)
