Assistant Nurse Manager - Sarcoma & Orthopaedic Center

Education

Required:   Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Preferred:   Master’s degree in Nursing or health-related field.

License/Certification           

Required:   Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN).  Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.  

Preferred:   Certification in Oncology. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required by patient care area.

Experience         

Required:  Three years of clinical nursing experience.  Successful completion of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center New Graduate Nurse Residency Program can be substituted for two of the three required years of clinical nursing experience.

Preferred:  Oncology nursing experience.

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
