Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA) - Plastic Surgery
The Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is recruiting a new assistant professor to join its ranks of highly skilled faculty. This faculty position will provide clinical expertise in reconstructive, plastic, and microvascular surgery for cancer patients in both the Texas Medical Center and the Houston Area Locations. The incumbent must engage in academic research (clinical, translational, and/or basic science) and actively teach fellows, residents, and other trainees in Plastic Surgery. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited medical school with an M.D. or equivalent; have completed a residency training program in plastic surgery; be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery; and be eligible for licensure in Texas. Candidates are required to have significant exposure to or experience in complex reconstruction and microsurgery.. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, possess the utmost integrity and be a strong team player to ensure success and growth within the department. Candidates who have completed a formal microsurgery fellowship are strongly preferred.
