MD Anderson is seeking an Assistant Director, Development (Digital Fundraising) in the Texas Medical Center, Houston, Texas.

The Development Office builds relationships with donors to secure and wisely steward their contributions. The connections that all of us make among patients, donors and the cancer community help raise awareness of MD Anderson and what we can accomplish together.

 
Ideal candidate will have a background in fundraising with experience creating online pages. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and have five years experience in private fund development, marketing public/client relations or closely related field.
 
SUMMARY

The Associate Director, Development position will manage the digital fundraising platform. Serve as a key player when making decisions and developing processes related to capturing data and creating digital fundraising forms in the Development Office’s digital fundraising platform.  This person must be able to work collaboratively with peers from different Institutional Advancement business units, as well as, the digital fundraising consulting firm and online fundraising platform vendor.  

 
 

KEY FUNCTIONS

Liaison with digital fundraising strategy agency; Institutional Advancement business units and online fundraising platform vendor.

 

Serve as the first line of support for internal staff using the online fundraising system.

 

Ad-hoc online donor form creation (e.g. event online pages, etc.).

  

Manage data integration efforts within Development Office’s online fundraising platform and system of record on an ongoing basis with the utmost quality, using critical thinking skills and a keen attention to detail. 

 

Manage online fundraising data management efforts on an ongoing basis utilizing knowledge of database business rules and procedures. 

 

Collaborate with MD Anderson Information Services, other key staff, and consultants to fulfill business needs related to online fundraising platform.

 

Serve as a key player when making decisions and developing processes related to capturing data in the online fundraising platform as well as using additional systems for our business needs.

 

Work closely with the EBS CRM Development Office Support Team, training and education, and others to address data integrity issue.

 

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or related field.

 
EXPERIENCE

Required: Five years’ experience in private fund development, marketing public/client relations or closely related field.

 
Preferred: Experience in a fundraising environment and experience creating online pages.
