AVP & Deputy Chief Compliance Officer

REQUIREMENTS

Required Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Preferred Education:  Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with undergraduate background in business, science and/or healthcare.

Required License:  Current Texas license to practice law.

Required Experience: Eight (8) years’ legal experience, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. Strong organization and communication skills. Familiarity with compliance-related laws, including Human Subjects Research, billing and reimbursement, privacy, and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse laws. 

Preferred Experience: Eight (8) to 10 (10) years of legal or compliance experience in health care related environment or other large academic medical center with experience in all aspects of compliance above, and including data governance, FDA compliance, animal care and use, federal award compliance, conflicts of interest, research security/undue foreign influence compliance.
