Clinical Coding Associate
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Health Information Management (Associate and/or Bachelor degree)
Health Information Technology (Associate and/or Bachelor degree).
Experience: None
Preferred: One year of healthcare experience.
Preferred Certification:
· One of the following through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or American Health Information Association (AHIMA) Certifications:
· Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
· Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
· Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
· Certified Coding Specialist – Physician based (CCS-P)
· Certified Coding Associate (CCA)
· Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
· Certified Professional Coder Hospital (CPCH)
