Clinical Supervisor, Radiation Oncology Business Services

- Supervise day-to-day functions of assigned area.
- Facilitate patient medical clearance for Radiation Oncology patients.
- Review clinical cases and develop individualized patient advocacy strategies.
- Monitor appeal timelines and ensure compliance.
- Develop strong clinical arguments for physician-defined care plans.
- Manage staffing, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Ensure adherence to institutional policies and standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree Nursing. or
- Required: Graduation from an accredited school of dosimetry.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 4 years Clinical nursing experience to include two years radiation oncology experience and one year team lead or supervisory experience. or
- Required: 2 years Required experience, with Dosimetry degree.
- : Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Required: RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure State of Texas Professional Nursing License (RN). or
- Required: CMD - Certified Medical Dosimetrist Must be obtained within four years of job entry by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB). and
- Required: BLS - Basic Life Support or
- Required: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Preferred: ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification as required by patient care area. or
- Preferred: PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification as required by patient care area.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
