Data Scientist - CCSG & Extramural Research Development
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Computational Biology, or related field.
Experience
Required: Three years experience in scientific software or industry development/analysis. With Master's degree, one years experience required. With PhD, no experience required.
Preferred:
- Minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience in data management, data integration, analysis, and project management within healthcare, research and/or academic environments.
- Experience in data science solutions, data modeling, statistical analysis, application coding or programming, machine learning algorithms, data mining, or data visualization.
- Ability to independently break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution, and implement it using advanced quantitative methods
- · Demonstrated good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- · Familiarity with programming for data analysis.
- · Experience in academic environments is strongly preferred.
- Consistently exhibits strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions. Strong skills in analyzing, researching, and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals/analyses.
