JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Support and management of databases and applications

- Maintains primary responsibility for data management activities

- Troubleshoot problems with existing databases, queries, reports and forms

- Maintains rules within laboratory Middleware systems

- Provides reports upon request

- Remains responsible and accountable for all actions.

Design, implementation, support and expansion of local Laboratory Information Systems

- designs new tools to support management of data in the lab

- coordinates new methods and rules with lab, vendor and LIS

- documents and validates before implementation and when changes are made

- evaluates new tests builds and modifications

- performs data transmission audits to ensure accurate and reliable communication between systems.

Assist with descriptive and exploratory statistical analyses and reports

- designs and manages operational reports

- documents and validates reports before implementation and when changes are made

- develops and maintains tools to facilitate ease of access to analysis and reports

Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Three years of experience in business management systems, including one year as an experienced programmer or one year working with a database software system. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience.
