IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Recognized Research Leader

M.D., M.D./Ph.D., investigator with an extensive history of successful clinical research as demonstrated by the number and quality of peer-reviewed publications, funding history, experience designing and leading large/multicenter clinical trials or research projects, and fruitful industry interactions.

Progressive Academic Leadership

Demonstrated executive leadership roles in a productive, complex research institution and/or academic medical center.

Administration

Experience in the administration of an academic research enterprise with responsibilities related to budgets and grants management, program development, data and informatics, and interaction with other institutional components.

Recruiting

Successful experience attracting, retaining, and developing high-performing individuals and teams.

Academic Credentials

Recognized achievement in research pursuits that would warrant appointment as a tenured associate professor or professor and M.D., M.D./Ph.D., required. Appropriate board certification, with additional degrees, certification, or licensure additive.

Thinking strategically in a dynamic institution, with a tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to take appropriate risks and innovate to advance the overall research mission of the Division.

Developing an innovative, multi-disciplinary clinical research strategy for the Division.

Establishing ambitious research goals for the Division to build its reputation, programs, and stature locally, regionally, and nationally.
