REQUIREMENTS

 

EDUCATION 
MD, PhD or MD/PhD with MBA or MHA preferred 

 

EXPERIENCE
•    At the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at 40 percent effort.
•    Five years as a research or clinical faculty member in an academic healthcare setting. 
•    Demonstrated experience in career development of others.
•    At least three years’ experience in a formal or informal leadership role where you have demonstrated excellence in the all the tenets required of a MD Anderson leader in Leading Self and Leading others.
•    Experience in faculty development initiatives and engagement programs at local, state, national, and international levels.  Experience developing academic partnerships and a successful record of teamwork, both as a team member and team leader.
•    Administrative, analytical, tactical, and interpersonal skills to guide the development of affiliations and collaborations consistent with the institutional mission and objectives.
•    Strong operational and financial acumen with the ability to lead and partner around a vision for excellence in academic medicine.
•    Interested in serving the organization by being thoughtful and deliberate about diversity.
•    A role model for inclusion, emotional intelligence, coachability, drive, professionalism, accountability, knowledge sharing, and capacity building.
