Required: Bachelor's degree in Applied or Basic Science, Business Administration or related field. Six years of directly related experience. With preferred degree three years of experience is required. 

Eligible to be certified as one of the following: Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) by the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM). Certified Health Physicist (CHP) by the American Board of Health Physicists (ABHP). Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH). Certified Biological Safety Professional (CBSP) by the American Biological Safety Association (ABSA). Registered Professional Engineer (PE) by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TBPE). Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). Licensed Medical Physicist (LMP) by the Texas Board of Licensure for Professional Medical Physicists. Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Certified Fire Inspector (CFI) by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) by the Council on Certification of Health, Environmental and Safety Technologists. Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) by Board of Certified Hazard Control Management (BCHCM) Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) by the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers. Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) by the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII). Certified Healthcare Provider Continuity Professional (CHPCP) by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII).
