Required Education/Experience: 

BA or BS from an accredited college or university

Two years business experience to include administration, data analysis or accounting. May substitute required experience with additional years of education on a one to one year basis.

Preferred Experience/Certification:

Certified Research Administrator or other industry-accepted credentials

Three to six years or more professional experience in research administration or related area, Two to three years of Post-award experience, PeopleSoft ERP and Grants Module, Administrative/business experience in an academic medical center research setting. 

Preferred Skills:

Excellent analytical skills (e.g. ability to accurately analyze multiple data sets), Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines, Effective written and oral communication skills (e.g. ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner), Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills (e.g. ability to work with personnel at all levels to gather information and communicate compliance requirements), Strong proficiency in financial analytical tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Ability to read and accurately interpret sponsored programs policies, procedures, federal regulations and guidelines (such as contract and notice of award documents), Experience using financial accounting systems or fund accounting systems
