Health Education Specialist

Education

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Community Health Education or related field. 

Preferred Education:

Master’s Level Degree

Certification:

None

Preferred Certification: 

Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Master Health Education Specialist (MCHES), Wellness Counseling Certificate, Exercise Specialist (ES) from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Registered Dietitian (RD) 

Experience

Required:

Two years experience in health education program coordination and supervisory abilities. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.

Preferred Experience: 

Two years experience in an education program for a medically related business. Two years experience in coaching patients in one or more of the integrative health services modalities, such as experience in initiating and maintaining an exercise program or in nutrition counseling.
