REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in HIM, Healthcare Administration or related field.
CERTIFICATION
Required: None
Preferred: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) by the American Health Information Management Association or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
EXPERIENCE
Required: Five years’ experience in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably in a health information management setting.
