Education Required: Bachelor’s degree.

Certification Required: None

Preferred Certification: One or more of the following: Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS), Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), CompTIA A+, HP Accredited Systems Engineer (ASE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and/or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)

Experience Required: Five years’ experience in analysis/design/project management/programming.  May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred Experience: The required experience plus three years supervisory experience.
- Experience with HPC/Kubernetes
- Experience with installation, configuration & maintenance of system applications such as LSF, Slurm, Bright Cluster manager, and/or Kubernetes including a good working knowledge of compute cluster scheduling.
- Experience with writing and debugging shell, Python, or other scripts.
- Experience with the installation, configuration & maintenance of Open-Source applications such as GCC, Pytorch, R various Open Source Next Gen Sequencing apps such as Tophat, Samtools, etc.
- Working knowledge of GPFS and NFS storage systems.
- Experience with, RedHat Linux, SUSE Linux, Ubuntu, or VMware ESX is also preferred.
