The HR Strategic Partners team at MD Anderson collaborates with institutional leadership to optimize talent, structure, processes, and culture. The primary purpose of the Human Resources Business Partner position is to provide strategic HR consultation and operational support to assigned client areas. This role influences leadership decisions, ensures compliance with HR policies and regulatory standards, and leads initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness. The HRBP serves as a trusted advisor, driving solutions that support institutional priorities and workforce needs.
 
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, with extensive experience in strategic HR business partnering, compliance, and accreditation. They demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in HR systems such as PeopleSoft, and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred. This candidate is adaptable, solutions-focused, and skilled in policy development, workforce planning, and change management.
 
The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, standard business hours.
 
Hourly breakdown of salary range: Minimum $59.13 – Midpoint $74.04 – Maximum $88.94

Job Duties:
• Lead accreditation and credentialing efforts, including audits and compliance with Joint Commission HR Standards.
• Develop and update HR policies, training modules, and compliance tools for institutional leaders.
• Serve as HR subject matter expert during scheduled and unscheduled survey visits.
• Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, remote work policies, and organizational development.
• Partner with leadership to resolve employee relations issues and ensure compliance with ADA, EEO, and CMS mandates.
• Analyze data to identify trends, conduct gap analyses, and recommend effective solutions.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and institutional committees to advance strategic priorities.
• Support workplace safety initiatives and participate in investigations related to violence or background checks.
• Advise on faculty oversight, performance management, and extended leave accommodations.
• Assist with communication strategies for institutional and departmental announcements.

EDUCATION

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Required: 6 years Professional human resources experience in a complex, fast paced environment.
  • Preferred: Significant experience in HR compliance, accreditation, and strategic business partnering.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Preferred: SPHR - Senior Professional in H R Upon Hire or
  • Preferred: PHR - Professional in H R Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Upon Hire or
  • Preferred: Other Human Resources certifications. Upon Hire
