Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Monitoring
- Review HUB Subcontracting Plans (HSPs) during solicitation of bids/proposals.
- Monitor HUB participation and compliance throughout contract execution.
- Audit files periodically for accuracy of monthly reports regarding HUB subcontractor payments and resolve discrepancies.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare reports as mandated by State and Federal agencies, UT System, and MD Anderson leadership.
- Perform analytical activities such as gathering, validating, and coordinating data for reports using institutional tools.
- Provide analysis of data and report findings as requested.
Supplier & Department Support
- Communicate daily with suppliers and sourcing teams regarding HSP completion and review.
- Assist departments in meeting HUB and small business goals by identifying certified vendors.
- Monitor Federal subcontracts and compliance with self-certification letters.
Outreach & Engagement
- Attend outreach functions in Houston and other Texas cities, including statewide HUB-sponsored events and small business trade organizations.
- Represent MD Anderson at networking and educational events to promote supplier variety.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental goals.
EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or Marketing.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: 3 years Business, supply chain, purchasing, finance, or marketing experience.
- Preferred: Experience with the HUB Program or Small Business program. Understanding of Historically Underutilized Business requirements and compliance processes.
- Data Analysis & Reporting – Proficiency in Excel and institutional reporting tools; experience preparing compliance reports.
- Vendor Outreach & Relationship Management – Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams, including guiding them through HUB Subcontracting Plans.
- Proficiency in Excel ( data analysis) and PDF.
- Experience with B2Gnow, or similar compliance platforms.
- Familiarity with state procurement processes (public sector experience is a plus).

Work Schedule: This is a remote position. Houston based candidates are preferred for occasional in person meetings or events.
Travel: Must be willing to attend occasional outreach events within Texas.
