HVAC Mechanic - Evenings
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm
Ideal candidate will have a EPA Universal Certification.

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the HVAC Mechanic position is to maintain heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. This position impacts the HVAC/R systems through maintenance and service.
Installs, maintains and repairs HVAC systems. Makes initial settings and final adjustments of commercial HVAC systems and modifies existing installations to obtain required results. Monitors and troubleshoots HVAC issues through BAS systems and/or other diagnostic tools. Follows schedule of preventive maintenance and makes recommendations regarding major overhaul of systems. Investigates outages. May order materials and maintain inventory.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Ability to Apply Craft Skills Knowledge: Monitors and troubleshoots HVAC issues through BAS systems and/or other diagnostic tools. Follows schedule of preventive maintenance and makes recommendations regarding major overhaul of systems. Investigates outages. Inspects jobs on completion for compliance to work requests, job requirements, specifications, and applicable codes.
Respond to customer calls: Respond to client requests and emergency calls
Maintain, Repair, Troubleshoot
Installs, repairs, and maintains HVAC equipment.
Serves as an HVAC/R member of the PM team.
Installs, repairs, and maintains refrigeration equipment.
Completes all required paperwork – timesheets, activity logs, etc.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job.
Understands the use of all hand and shop tools of the trade.
Requisitions materials and maintain inventory.

Document and Communication: Provide complete information to accurately document corrective action, labor hours, and materials used on work orders.
Timely communication to supervisor of any other issues encountered during the performance of work
Emergency responses: Emergency responses for facilities including code red
Respond to customer calls: Respond to customer calls and provide customer services
Project Management: Complete projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Four years experience in a mechanical field to include commercial installation, repair and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, control systems or other mechanical environments. Three years of experience required with preferred Associates degree, as referenced by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). Two years of experience required with preferred Bachelors degree, as referenced by the TDLR.
Preferred:
Universal Certification by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Registered Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ACR) Technician issued by the State of Texas.
Certified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ACR) Technician issued by the State of Texas.
