HVAC Mechanic - Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the HVAC Mechanic position is to maintain heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. This position impacts the HVAC/R systems through maintenance and service.
Installs, maintains and repairs HVAC systems. Makes initial settings and final adjustments of commercial HVAC systems and modifies existing installations to obtain required results. Monitors and troubleshoots HVAC issues through BAS systems and/or other diagnostic tools. Follows schedule of preventive maintenance and makes recommendations regarding major overhaul of systems. Investigates outages. May order materials and maintain inventory.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
2. Serves as an HVAC/R member of the PM team.
3. Installs, repairs, and maintains refrigeration equipment.
4. Completes all required paperwork – timesheets, activity logs, etc.
5. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job.
6. Understands the use of all hand and shop tools of the trade.
7. Requisitions materials and maintain inventory.
8. Ability to Apply Craft Skills Knowledge - Monitors and troubleshoots HVAC issues through BAS systems and/or other diagnostic tools. Follows schedule of preventive maintenance and makes recommendations regarding major overhaul of systems. Investigates outages. Inspects jobs on completion for compliance to work requests, job requirements, specifications, and applicable codes.

•Timely communication to supervisor of any other issues encountered during the performance of work.
High school diploma or equivalent. Four years experience in a mechanical field to include commercial installation, repair and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, control systems or other mechanical environments. Three years of experience required with preferred Associates degree, as referenced by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). Two years of experience required with preferred Bachelors degree, as referenced by the TDLR.
