Education
Required: Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, enzymology, pharmacology, chemistry or related field. 

Preferred: PhD in one of the natural sciences or related field or Medical degree. 

Experience 
Required: Eight years experience of relevant research experience in lab. With preferred degree, three years of required experience. 

Preferred: 
• Experience with therapeutic viral vector development and scale-up (preferably gamma retrovirus and lentivirus)

• Experience with GMP manufacturing

• Familiarity with regulatory filings, such as INDs

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
 
• Demonstrated ability for taking initiative and working independently. 

• Demonstrated strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a superior drive for results

• Demonstrated skills and comfort in proactively building relationships with potential partners.

• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills 

• Hands-on bench scientist that is adept at training and developing junior research associates

• Ability to develop and stick to project timelines through the use of project management tools
