Instructor - Epigenetics & Molecular Carcinogenesis
EDUCATION:
Required: Doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) from an accredited school and be professionally competent.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Must have two (2) years’ experience as postdoctoral fellow or equivalent working in a research environment where duties involve scientific research disciplines, at a U.T. component or at another academic institution, or have applicable experience deemed equivalent. Evidence of consistent research of high quality, and a dedication to a career in cancer research is required.
JOB DUTIES:
Conduct research experiments requiring knowledge in the field of Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis, Biochemistry and/or Bioinformatics.
Compile, analyze and report statistical data for various projects including, but not limited to manual and computer-aided data abstraction and evaluation, computerized imaging and bioinformatics.
Perform gene expression data analysis / transcriptomics and genomic data analysis.
Responsible for the integration of large-scale bulk sequencing and single cell sequencing multi-omic datasets.
Develop and maintain software tools and infrastructure for resolving specific problems.
Discuss data and interpretation of experimental results with faculty members, collaborators and laboratory personnel.
Work Location: Onsite
This position has a target base salary of $65,000 to $120,223 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
