Summary

The Leadership Practitioner works with a team of leadership development professionals to apply principles of I-O psychology to provide expertise to the institution and its leaders to assist them in maximizing their own development and that of the teams they lead. 


Job Specific Competencies


Coaching  Provide coaching to institutional executive and faculty leaders and their teams focused on improving individual performance, work unit performance, manager-employee relationships, and human resources management practices. Provides personalized development plans to coaching clients to align to client specific needs. Delivers assessment feedback to guide development plans and coaching engagements.

 

Design and delivery of virtual and blended learning  Diagnose, design and deliver virtual and blended learning solutions for leaders and their teams as either a project lead or individual contributor. Display competence in a variety of digital skills (digital literacy) and in-person facilitation, manage training and learning activities in such a way as to maximize engagement and knowledge transfer, and incorporate the tenets of adult learning theory.

 

High Potential Program Design and Delivery   Develop sustainable processes, procedures and programs aimed at identifying, assessing, engaging and retaining high potential leaders to ensure a ready supply of leadership talent when and where it is needed. Manage the overall process of high potential programs including, forecasting leadership talents needs and requirements, the accurate identification of high potential leaders, designing and delivering learning experiences of critical KSAs, coaching, communications and evaluation of effectiveness.

 

Program Oversight   Provide an on-going and comprehensive review of a program, including its people, processes, quality and effectiveness from the planning phase through to the program’s completion. Ensure, at all times, that the program is being performed using best industry practices, prudent management decision-making and effective and transparent controls and reporting methods, and the implementation of continuous improvement or lessons learned.


REQUIREMENTS 

Education: Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field. With a Bachelor’s degree may substitute the Master's degree with two additional years of demonstrated MD Anderson experience in a role where training or coaching was the primary job function.

Preferred Education: Doctorate (Professional)

 

Certification: None.

Preferred Certification: Licensed Psychologist in state of Texas

Certified Executive Coach

 

Experience: Four years of related experience. 

Preferred Experience: Seven years of professional experience related to directing complex projects experience related to organization development or a related field.
