Medical Assistant - Float Pool

Our Medical Assistants in the Ambulatory Float Pool are vital members of the patient care team. You’ll provide hands-on clinical and administrative support to a variety of ambulatory departments, helping patients feel seen, heard, and cared for throughout their visit. The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 - 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant. Experience in an Ambulatory setting is also preferred.
This position will be working in the Ambulatory Float Pool, and will be covering Centers with varying hours. The hours will be Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, but may change depending on Center needs.
Hourly Breakdown of salary range: Minimum $20.67 - Midpoint $25.96 - Maximum $31.25

Key Responsibilities
- Support nursing staff and providers by completing routine clinical tasks, including measuring vital signs, performing EKGs, and collecting lab specimens.
- Assist patients with daily activities, mobilization, greeting, rooming, and comfort measures to enhance their experience.
- Ensure timely patient flow by rooming patients efficiently, communicating status updates, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Safeguard patient information at all times and maintain confidentiality in accordance with institutional policies.
- Keep clinical areas safe, clean, and well-stocked to support high-quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff to escalate changes in patient condition or concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service through empathy, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when rotating across different ambulatory clinics and service lines.
- Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or US Military medical services training program.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: One year Medical assistant experience. With preferred education no experience is required.
