Medicine Department Administrator - General Internal Medicine
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in Business, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: Seven years of progressive and responsible health care or business management experience. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.
Preferred: Strong background in clinical operations and familiarity with research operations, including financial management. Proven success with strategic planning and implementation of programs. Must have experience identifying the needs of the department, i.e., new faculty or APPs, and quickly analyze the financial impact. Ability to function independently without much oversight while being a reliable, solid dyad partner for the department and division leadership. Also, experience coordinating human resources activities (hiring, onboarding, promotions, etc.) and people management is essential.

Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
