Medicine Department Administrator - Psychiatry

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree in business, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field.

Preferred: Master’s degree in business, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Seven years of progressive and responsible health care or business management experience. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.

Preferred: Strong clinical and academic background. Familiarity with CMS, faculty promotion and tenure process, navigating polices and procedures in an academic environment, patient billing and reimbursement and managed care. Ability to partner and collaborate with institutional leadership and exceptional communication skills. Background in psychiatry is a plus.

OTHER

Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
