Nuclear Med / PET Technologist

REQUIREMENTS

 

Education Required: Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Level Degree

 
Certification:  ALL of the following:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist, ARRT (N) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) 
or
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB). 
and
Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) by Texas Department of State Health Services. 
and
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Preferred Certification: Additional certifications:
- ARRT
- NMTCB - PET
- ACLS
- PALS/ PEARS

 
Experience: None
Preferred Experience: Imaging experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at M.D. Anderson or other experience in a related discipline Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program with one year of clinical experience.
