This is a 32 bed Surgical Urology & Orthopedic unit for adult patient population. This fast paced environment has rapid turnover for surgical procedures which include: postoperative prostatectomy, cystectomy, penectomy, nephrectomy, and orthopedic surgeries.


 The ideal candidate will be required to work a combination of 8 and 12 hours shifts. For example, 7a-3p, 3p-11p or 7a-7p. Must be able to work at least two weekends out of the month.

 

Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.

Scope Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.


Essential Job Functions Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs.  Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs.  Updates and retrieves patient information.  Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.  Acts as part of an assigned care team.

EDUCATION:

Required:Required High school diploma or equivalent.
