Patient Care Technician - Dialysis
Our Dialysis Unit has 55 beds and 230 employees; the Dialysis unit at MD Anderson provides patient focused care through a multidisciplinary team approach. Quality and patient outcomes are at the heart of our practice. The ICU team participates in Evidence Based Practice, unit and hospital-based committees, and local and national conferences.
Ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and Certified Hemodialysis Technician with at least 2 years of Dialysis experience.
Working Hours: The working hours will be Night shift - 7:30pm to 8:00AM - 12 hrs shift - alternate weekends and Holidays

Job Competencies:
· Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse
· Contributes to patient comfort and overall outcomes of care
· Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to identify and address patient needs
· Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), patient mobilization, and admit/discharge processes
· Obtains and records vital signs
· Updates and retrieves patient information as appropriate
· Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment
· Acts as an active member of the assigned care team
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Required: None
- Preferred: At least 2 years of Dialysis experience
Licenses and Certifications
- Preferred: Certified Dialysis Technician
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire
Other Requirements: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
