Patient Care Technician – G19E Lymphoma 


Shifts Available:
Day/Evening:  7AM – 7PM, 7AM – 3PM, 3PM – 11PM.
Evening/Night: 7PM – 7AM, 11PM – 7AM, 3PM – 11PM


Four shifts per week. A combination of 2 twelve and 2 eight hour shifts Monday - Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays.


The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and preferably a CNA License.


SUMMARY
Function: Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.
Scope: Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
Essential Job Functions:
·      Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs.
·      Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs.
·      Updates and retrieves patient information.
·      Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
·      Acts as part of an assigned care team.
·      Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION
Received: Directly from a registered nurse.
Given: None.

REQUIREMENTS
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Education Preferred: None.
Experience Required: None
Experience Preferred: Experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant.
Licensure/Certification Required: None.
Licensure/Certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Other Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.

Experience Preferred: One year of patient care experience in an acute care setting.

License/Certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). 

This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Preferred: One year of patient care experience in an acute care setting.
License/Certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
