Phlebotomist- West Houston

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: Associate's degree from a Medical Laboratory Technician Program or completion of a specialized phlebotomy training program.Completion of a MD Anderson phlebotomy internship or six months of phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory. With preferred education, only three months of phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory required.

Preferred Certification: Phlebotomy certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA), American Certification Agency (ACA), and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate. BLS certification.

Experience: Six months of phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory or three months experience with preferred education.

Preferred Experience: One year of phlebotomy experience.
