Principal Application System Analyst
In the Enterprise Development & Integration Department, you’ll lead complex application development and integration projects that enable secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for healthcare. This is more than a technical role—it’s an opportunity to influence enterprise-level systems that improve patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Application Database Development & Support
- Lead efforts to design, develop, and optimize application solutions for secure data collection, storage, and reporting.
- Provide technical leadership in analyzing, deploying, and maintaining application databases.
Reporting & Analytics
- Drive initiatives to integrate and expand reporting capabilities across teams and departments.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of analytics to support business and clinical decision-making.
Data Access & Integration
- Collaborate with teams to identify and incorporate data from multiple systems.
- Provide secure and efficient access to data for internal and external systems.
Technical Leadership
- Serve as team or technical lead for complex applications and integrations.
- Act as product owner when required, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
- Mentor team members and promote best practices in application development.
Documentation & Standards
- Prepare and maintain documentation for application design, workflows, and integration processes.
- Ensure adherence to institutional standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental objectives.
EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Master's Degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 7 years In progressive software systems implementation and support, business systems process analysis and design, Epic software, or domain to include two years lead/supervisory experience
- May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred experience: Professional experience building front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript, hands-on experience developing back-end APIs using .NET or .NET Core, experience leading multiple software development projects at the same time.
