Principal Business Systems Analyst (Sectra)
The Principal Business Systems Analyst primary responsibility is to utilize acquired knowledge to assure Information Services provides support and resources to meet the needs of the Enterprise Imaging Platform. Represents the Imaging Technology Solutions team in departmental planning, reporting and management initiatives. Develops and monitors projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion. Attends and contributes to project meetings at all phases, tracking the status of multiple Imaging Technology projects. Coordinates and conducts meetings to update leaders on project status, focusing on schedules, programming, and issue resolution. Adjusts project communication plans to ensure timely and relevant information dissemination. Periodically briefs Project Executive Teams and Senior Leadership on project status, emphasizing schedules, budgets, and issue resolution. Collaborates with project teams, IS Division resources and clinical operational stakeholders on design requirements, project planning,
and deviation approvals.
System and Process Design
- Develop & maintain understanding of customer workflows & business needs to support.
- Deliver precise functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design & definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, & data mapping to clients.
- Be responsible for direct interaction with clients including, but not limited to, eliciting comprehensive requirements & use cases and recommended appropriate solutions.
- Gather requirements & help build and document specification for development.
- Work with development team to develop high level labor estimates to develop and deploy functionality.
- Conduct gap analysis between application and customer requirements and collaborates with developers to estimate project impact.
- Work with development and QA teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired functionality changes.
- Work with clients to demonstrate the new system or changes to the system to ensure all relevant business needs are addressed.
- Perform QA of project deliverables
- Recommend and institute BA best practice and methodology and tools.
Implementation
- Develop training materials and provide training in one-on-one or classroom environment.
- Prepares and conducts continuing education training sessions for users and coworkers, as necessary.
- Develops role-based programs and supporting materials for end-user training using principles of adult learning
- Provides go-live support during rollout period
General

- Provides timely and accurate reports to Manager, Associate Director and/or Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager, Associate Director and/or Director.
Application Support and On-Call
- Provides on-going support and training (as needed) of the applications developed and supported by EDI.
- Provides problem-solving expertise for all aspects of EDI applications / functionality.
- Coordinates technical efforts with Development and Release Management Teams.
- Maintains effective communications with customers, EDI teams and EDI Leadership.
- Shares on-call responsibility for applications/systems supported by the EDI during evening hours, weekends and holidays.

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience Required:
Seven years of progressive software systems implementation and support, business systems process analysis and design, Epic software, to include two years lead/supervisory experience. May substitute require education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred Experience:
Software Development Lifecycle methodology and activities.
