The Program Coordinator, Institutional Compliance (Education), reviews and prepares educational materials, communications pieces, promotional items, presentations, surveys, and other deliverables in support of Institutional Compliance and institution-wide education efforts; supports other Institutional Compliance Program elements as necessary; and collects data related to the program’s education and outreach efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in communication, education or related field and three years of project/program management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication is a must, and the incumbent must be able to type 60+ words per minute.


General Compliance Program Activities 

Supports the Program Director, Institutional Compliance Programs (Program Director) in conceptualizing, creating, reviewing, editing, deploying, and promoting educational items related to topics required by regulatory agencies or identified as institutional risks. Key efforts include the Employee Education Event, New Employee Orientation Program, and Faculty Compliance Orientation.

Uses institutional web content management systems to manage the Institutional Compliance intranet site and external site. Works with Senior Legal Officers and other Institutional Compliance leaders to develop new content and maintain existing content.

Assists the Program Director in proposing, drafting, and finalizing supporting publications including tip sheets, MD Anderson’s Code of Conduct, and MD Anderson’s Standards of Conduct: Do the Right Thing.

Coordinates with identified administrative support to manage the inventory of Institutional Compliance publications and educational materials, including printed pieces and promotional items.

Education, Training, and Outreach

Works with the Program Director and the Human Resources Employee Development & Talent Management Systems team to plan, coordinate, develop, test, and deploy Institutional Compliance education and training materials, including presentations, computer-based training, instructor-led courses, and videos.

Under the direction of the Program Director, works with Institutional Compliance stakeholders to edit and create presentations for Institutional Compliance education efforts using MD Anderson brand standards, MD Anderson style guides, and Institutional Compliance templates.

Coordinates outreach events to include scheduling spaces and volunteers, determining appropriate materials and other collateral; and disseminating follow-up communications to participants.

Suggests new materials and media platforms to increase engagement with unique target audiences across the organization.

Obtains quotes for printed materials and promotional items. Works directly with vendors to ensure timely and accurate production of such. Helps manage print and promotional inventory, including inventory control and manual counts.

Client Support  

Works with faculty members to assess their educational requirements and determine next steps in completion of such.

Assists Institutional Compliance team members in reviewing team-specific content, ensuring it aligns with MD Anderson’s brand standards and style guide.

Provides consulting services to team members who need guidance in developing educational and outreach materials for team-specific efforts. Makes recommendations as to timing, audience, platform, duration, and cadence.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree.

Master’s in communication/education.

Required Experience: Three years project/program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
