Education
Required: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Advanced or terminal degree in Science, Medicine, or Business
Experience
Required: Five years of related program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience or completed years of college on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.
Preferred:
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, or commercialization
• Advanced understanding of various technical science fields.
• Understanding of business model development and fundamentals of commercialization and translation of technologies from academia to the marketplace, including direct experience with programs similar to the NSF Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Program.
• Understanding of start-up ecosystems, incubators, and accelerators and other entities engaged in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Experience working with entrepreneurs, including ability to discuss aspects of their respective fields and provide support regarding professional development plans, goals, and strategies for achieving them.
