Research Assistant I - Genetics
Key Functions
· Maintains stocks of zebrafish and the associated aquatic system
· Conducts experiments in areas of molecular biology
and genetics
· Constructs, assembles and operates laboratory
apparatus and equipment
· Records and evaluates data in accordance with
methods requested
· Reads
literature and confers with superiors regarding new procedures and modifies
them according to the needs of the project
· Assists
with administrative responsibilities associated with oversight and
management of the zebrafish aquaculture facility
Bachelor's degree, major course work in one of the basic sciences. No experience.
