Research Assistant I Melanoma Medical Oncology
The Research Assistant I position provides technical assistance in carrying out various research projects.
**This is a temporary position that will not exceed 4 1/2 months of employment**
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions
- Conducts experiments and carries out research projects in varied areas of chemistry, biology and other biomedical, dental or related scientific fields.
- Constructs, assembles and operates laboratory apparatus and equipment.
- Records and evaluates data in accordance with methods requested.
- Coordinates meetings to review project status and generates reports to support investigator research oversight.
- Develops protocol-specific tools and communicates recommendations regarding protocol inconsistencies and requirements.
- Participates in the development of procedures and workflow processes.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree, major course work in one of the basic sciences.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: No experience.
Preferred: Experience working with melanoma research at MDA; laboratory experience.
