Research Assistant II, Genitourinary Medical Oncology-Research

Responsibilities
- Analyze existing and experimentally generated imaging and omics datasets
- Plan and execute data analysis in alignment with project goals discussed with supervisors
- Develop step-by-step written procedures for analyses prior to execution
- Interpret experimental data and communicate results to principal investigators and collaborators
- Generate figures and datasets for presentations and publications
- Coordinate research procedures with laboratory members and external collaborators
- Perform technical laboratory duties according to general or specific research plans
- Communicate with vendors and core personnel to obtain technical information
- Assist with the assembly, operation, and maintenance of laboratory technologies, databases, and information storage
- Maintain detailed, legible handwritten records of all experiments performed
- Enter experimental data into graphical and statistical software programs
- Read, edit, and contribute to scientific manuscripts and reports
- Demonstrate clear and concise verbal and written communication in English
- Participate in institutional training to obtain required certifications
- Conduct ongoing literature review to remain current with relevant research areas
- Exercise initiative and inventiveness in resolving technical problems in consultation with principal investigators
- Guide, teach, supervise, and assist students and laboratory members
- Assist with or perform animal studies, histology, immunohistochemistry, and molecular techniques as required
- Perform related duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree Basic Science.
Preferred: Master's Degree Basic Science.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: One year scientific or experimental research work experience. With preferred degree, no experience.
Preferred: Experience in data analysis and machine learning.
