Research Investigator
The Research Investigator supports the Lymphoma/Myeloma – Research department within the Cancer Medicine Division by applying advanced technical expertise to coordinate, design, and execute research projects that advance scientific discovery. The Research Investigator works closely with a Principal Investigator to generate high-quality data, contribute to publications, and ensure research activities align with institutional standards and safety expectations.

The Research Investigator operates within a collaborative research environment that emphasizes scientific rigor, professionalism, and service excellence, and the Research Investigator plays a key role in supporting ongoing discovery efforts across the institution.


The ideal candidate brings a strong scientific background with a preferred Master’s degree in natural sciences or a related field, paired with progressive research experience. This individual demonstrates analytical and innovative thinking, communicates clearly through written documentation, and shows the ability to mentor junior staff while working independently under the guidance of a Principal Investigator.

Salary Range: $59,000 – Midpoint $74,000 – $89,000 

Responsibilities
 

Research Execution and Data Management

Coordinate, design, and carry out scientific research projects
Compile, write, and evaluate research data for publication purposes
Submit project results to the Principal Investigator in appropriate digital formats

Training and Leadership

Train and support junior staff in selected technical areas
Provide mentorship, feedback, and development support to team members
Promote learning, creativity, and problem-solving within the research team

Safety, Ethics, and Compliance

Model safe behavior including use of personal protective equipment and maintaining clean work areas
Identify and report safety concerns using proper institutional procedures
Demonstrate ethical responsibility and mitigate institutional risk through sound practices

 

 

EDUCATION

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree Natural sciences or related field.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree natural sciences or related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Required: Five years Scientific or experimental research work or Three years Required experience with preferred degree.
