***Ideal candidate will have clinical project management experience with proven experience managing large, complex, and strategic technology projects in a fast-paced environment. Including, but not limited to: PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), Epic EHR System, Ancillary Clinical systems or similar***

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment

  • Motivate and guide project teams toward common goals.
  • Demonstrate strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Coach and mentor TDI Project Managers and contract PM resources.
  • Engage stakeholders to manage expectations and demonstrate project value.
  • Collaborate with sponsors and key team members to ensure requirements are captured accurately.

Domain Expertise

  • Apply best practices and methodologies for portfolio, resource, and project management.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and status reports.
  • Ensure timely updates in PMO platforms and customer approvals for system readiness.
  • Oversee resource allocation and financial management to keep projects within budget.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate technical requirements, training plans, and transition to operations.

Organizational Efficiency

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and escalate issues promptly.
  • Provide regular updates and ensure projects stay on schedule, within scope and budget.
  • Assess challenges, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Adapt to changing environments and stakeholder needs.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental goals.

EDUCATION

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Master's Degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Required: 6 years Experience to include five years in project management and five years in application and/or infrastructure services. or
  • Required: 4 years Experience is required to include three years in project management and three years in application and/or infrastructure services with preferred degree.
  • May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
  • Preferred: Clinical project management experience, 6+ years of experience leading cross-functional, large-scale and high-complex programs and/or projects that were implemented enterprise-wide, 5+ years of experience with implementing technology, data and/or innovation solutions, and 5+ years of experience creating and delivering presentations for Executive Leadership.
  • Preferred skills: PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), Epic EHR System, Ancillary Systems or similar. 

Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule (onsite and remote), prefer a candidate in the local Houston area. Will need to travel to other facilities in the Houston area. 

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Preferred: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Project Management Institute PMI
